Pierre Bonin
Director
Mr. Pierre Bonin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Université de Sherbrooke and an MBA from HEC Montréal. He also holds the designation Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés at Université Laval and the Chartered Director (C.Dir) designation from The Directors College at McMaster University.
Mr. Bonin has more than 35 years of experience as a senior executive in the telecommunications, technology and consulting sectors. He began his career at Bell Canada, where he held several senior leadership positions in information technology, finance and business transformation. He subsequently held executive roles at Microcell Telecommunications (Fido) before joining Videotron in 2014 as Chief Information Officer. From 2021 to 2022, he also led Videotron’s pan Canadian expansion program.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bonin has led major digital transformations, technology modernization programs and business integrations. His areas of expertise include corporate strategy, information technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data governance and technology risk management. In 2015, he was named Ambassador of the Université de Sherbrooke. In 2020, he was named CIO of the Year by IT World Canada and the Canadian CIO Association.
Mr. Bonin is a member of the Université de Montréal Board Committee on Information Technology, Privacy, Access to Information and Information Security.
Since July 1, 2026, Mr. Bonin has served on the Board of Directors of Beneva Group and as a member of the Risk Management, Ethics and Information Technology Committee.
