Jacques Cotton

Jacques Cotton started his career in the health and social services system – a career that has spanned 40 years. He was Executive Director of several hospitals, including the Centre hospitalier Anna-Laberge, the Hôtel-Dieu de Saint-Jérôme and the Cité-de-la-Santé de Laval hospital. He would become Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux before eventually being appointed Deputy Minister himself.
After serving as President and CEO of the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec, Jacques Cotton became President of the Institut de la pertinence des actes médicaux (IPAM). At the time of the merger with SSQ Insurance, he was also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of La Capitale Civil Service Mutual.
