Our net-zero emission targets*
Guided by global climate objectives
The ultimate goal of gradually reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is to achieve net-zero emissions. We’ll adjust our aim based on the latest science and GHG calculation methods.
* Our targets have been set in accordance with United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals 13, 15 and 17, the Paris Agreement, and the United Nations Environment Programme's Principles for Responsible Investment and Principles for Responsible Insurance, to which we are a signatory.

Operations
In 2025, efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of our buildings were maintained. Concrete steps were taken to improve our energy efficiency, transition to renewable energy as well as modernize our systems. Thanks to these measures, we reduced GHG emissions from our buildings by 51%3 compared to 2022.

Auto, home and recreational vehicle insurance
In 2025, our commitment to sustainability and climate adaptation in our insurance offering was strengthened. Campaigns to encourage ecofriendly practices, the adoption of more sustainable claims management practices as well as the integration of greener solutions into our products were initiated.
Our actions include:
- Enhanced offer for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle owners.
- Prioritizing repair over replacement (claims).
- Improving our home insurance coverage by offering financial incentives to build back better.4

Investments
Our climate commitments are based on the latest science. In 2025, our decarbonization targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
We're also actively investing in our transition, with more than 24% of our general funds supporting sustainable projects. Since 2021, the carbon intensity of our internally managed portfolio has been reduced by 39%.

To accelerate this just transition, we’re rallying our team, our members, our partners and the community around important environmental issues.
In 2025, we doubled down on raising awareness by:
- Providing sustainability training to our team.
- Preparing educational articles and developing campaigns on sustainable commuting.
- Strengthening communication with our financial partners.
- Speaking at local and international events in an effort to advance sustainable insurance practices.
