Beneva announces the appointment of Sylvain Nolet as Executive Vice-President and Leader – Value Creation

Quebec City, March 11, 2026 - Beneva is pleased to announce the appointment of Sylvain Nolet as Executive Vice-President and Leader – Value Creation. This appointment will take effect on May 4, 2026.

“Sylvain is an inspiring leader, recognized for his strategic vision, thoroughness and ability to move organizations forward. His extensive experience in both Canada and Europe makes him the ideal person to guide this key function for our future,” said Jean-François Chalifoux, President and CEO of Beneva.

He will succeed Patrick Cyr, who has spent more than 30 years in a series of vital roles at SSQ General Insurance and SSQ Life Insurance Company Inc., and later at Beneva. Mr. Cyr will retire by the end of the year.

Over 30 years of experience in general insurance

Mr. Nolet has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial mathematics from Concordia University and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He progressed through the insurance industry by taking on several leadership roles. Since 2018, he has served as Vice-President, Commercial Insurance at La Capitale, and later at Beneva.

As Executive Vice-President and Leader – Value Creation, Mr. Nolet will oversee the orchestration and alignment of cross‑functional and sector‑specific project portfolios, ensuring they are fully aligned with Beneva’s strategic vision.
