Beneva supports communities affected by wildfires in Western Canada


Quebec City, June 5, 2025 – Beneva is donating $20,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Relief Fund in support of communities impacted by wildfires in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Additional specific measures have also been implemented for its customers.

“Beneva stands in solidarity with Canadian communities affected by the wildfires currently raging in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We support the emergency relief efforts and recovery initiatives underway for those impacted. These climate events impact us all, and our hearts go out to all those affected by this natural disaster,” said Jean-François Chalifoux, President and CEO of Beneva.

Support measures for affected Canadians

In partnership with TELUS Health, Beneva has established a telephone support line offering up to three hours of psychological support for its customers. The service is free and confidential.

You can reach the phone line 24/7. Just call 1 800 387-4765 and mention “Beneva forest fires.”

Access to prescription drugs will also be made easier. Pharmacists are authorized to renew prescriptions for insured persons who have lost or forgotten their medications due to the wildfires, even if the usual 30-day renewal period has not yet passed.
