Beneva’s inaugural work-study program a resounding success: Students hired and program extended two more sessions

Quebec City, June 27, 2024—Beneva proudly announced that the first-ever graduating class of its P&C insurance work-study program, which is offered at the Cégep de Sainte-Foy and in collaboration with the Coalition pour une relève en assurance de dommages (Coalition), passed with flying colours. The students not only successfully completed the course but also joined Beneva’s ranks, an important step in their professional career.

For Beneva, the purpose of this innovatory initiative is to provide quality training and job opportunities to talented individuals showing lots of potential. The success of the first graduating class is not only proof that the program has promise, but of Beneva’s commitment to skills development.

“We are very pleased with our inaugural graduating class. The students’ determination, commitment and passion cannot be overstated. We are thrilled to welcome them aboard and firmly believe that they will contribute to our company’s continued success,” said David Fortier, Vice-President - Direct Sales and Loyalty in Beneva’s P&C Insurance sector. “This initiative is not just about growth objectives at P&C, it’s about providing higher quality service to clients."

Given the success of the work-study program, Beneva renewed it for two more sessions. This means that two more graduating classes of students will be given the chance to get high quality, paid training with the option of future employment in the company upon obtaining their Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS).

Beneva, Cégep de Sainte-Foy and the Coalition created this work-study program to provide online training that is recognized by the AMF (Autorité des marchés financiers) for people who are looking to embark on a career in insurance.
