Beneva renews its commitment until 2027 as the title sponsor of the Beneva Quebec City Marathon presented by Montellier

Quebec City, Thursday, November 30, 2023 — For the 17th consecutive year, the Quebec Running Events Corporation and Gestev are delighted to count on a major commitment from Beneva to remain a valued partner, and for a third straight year to act as the title sponsor of the Beneva Quebec City Marathon presented by Montellier.

A tailor-made partnership

The partnership between Beneva and the Marathon de Québec is driven by a common goal, which is to make people active by running through magnificent Quebec City. We’re delighted to continue building this wonderful relationship with Beneva through the years,” said Marianne Pelchat, Executive Producer at Gestev.

Once again this season, thanks to this great partnership, Beneva is showing its commitment to promoting sports and healthy lifestyles, both with its employees and the general population. Whether it's at the starting line of one of the various Beneva Quebec City Marathon presented by Montellier events or on the course as volunteers, the Beneva family is represented by its many employees, who gather not only to take on a sporting challenge, but also to cheer on the runners. A heart-warming contribution

During the Beneva Quebec City Marathon presented by Montellier, Beneva is committed to once again increase the total contribution amount by giving generously to the four causes in the 2024 season of Je Cours Qc. It will thereby support Centraide Québec et Chaudière-Appalaches, the Fondation IUCPQ, the Fondation Le Grand Chemin and Groupe TAQ, by matching the amounts donated by participants up to a maximum of $5,000 for each cause.

This contribution, initiated by Beneva, encourages participants not only to get actively involved in raising funds, but it also reinforces the relationship between the sporting community, the benefits of physical activity and the social challenges these causes address. Each contribution makes a tangible difference in the lives of people who get support from these vital groups.

  • Centraide Québec et Chaudière-Appalaches. This organization’s central mission, Beneva’s 2024 associated cause, is to reduce poverty and exclusion and taking action in the face of social inequalities. Guided by the values of mutual aid, kindness and solidarity, Centraide strives to play a positive and transformative social role in its community.
  • Fondation IUCPQ. The Fondation IUCPQ, a cause associated for a fourth consecutive year, promotes and supports the work conducted by the Institut universitaire de cardiologie et pneumologie de Québec (IUCPQ-UL), whose primary mission is tending to the health of people suffering from cardiovascular and respiratory disease, or obesity. Over the years, the Foundation has contributed over $25 million by financing the purchase of specialized equipment and participating in the financing of research and education for the population of Eastern Quebec, which includes more than 2.2 million people.
  • Groupe TAQ. Involved with the Quebec City community for more than 45 years, Groupe TAQ has contributed to the growth of local companies, provided stable employment for individuals with disabilities and developed important business partnerships.
  • Fondation Le Grand Chemin. Its mission is to support Le Grand Chemin centres in providing specialized services for treating drug and alcohol addiction, compulsive gambling and internet addiction among Quebec teens aged 12 to 17. The Foundation raises funds and mobilizes communities while creating partnerships.
