Beneva supports flood victims in British Columbia

November 29, 2021

QUEBEC CITY, November 29, 2021—Beneva is donating $40,000 to help the communities devastated by the recent extreme weather events in British Columbia.

At Beneva, caring about Canadians is part of our DNA. Beneva is first and foremost about people protecting people.

Consequently, our $40,000 donation to the emergency fund set up by the Canadian Red Cross and United Way British Columbia will support relief efforts and provide assistance to British Columbians affected by the disaster.

“At Beneva, our hearts go out to the flood victims in British Columbia,” said Jean-François Chalifoux, President and CEO of Beneva. “We felt it our duty to contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Canadian Red Cross and United Way British Columbia. Their role is essential, coming to the aid of victims by providing them with financial assistance and emotional support in their time of need.”

The extreme weather events, forest fires, floods and landslides, that occurred in B.C. over a short period of time are a reminder of the importance of adopting a conscientious approach to climate and environmental issues.

If Beneva members and clients wish to make a personal contribution, they can donate via the Red Cross and United Way British Columbia websites.
