Discover the key steps and how your experience as a Beneva job candidate will unfold.

We will not ask you for any personal information until you have been officially hired. At this point, all we need is your resumé.

Step 1

Introduce yourself

It's time for introductions, tell us about yourself!

 

  • Submit your application

    Apply online for the job that interests you by attaching your resumé. You can also include a cover letter to tell us more about yourself.

  • Make an impression 

    Ideally, tailor your application to the job you’re applying for by highlighting relevant experience and qualifications.

    Whether your career path is conventional or not, we’re interested in your story. Tell us about your background, interests and skills, what you’re passionate about!

Step 2

Let’s get to know each other

At Beneva, we like to get to know our future colleagues. Depending on the job you’re applying for, the order of the steps may vary.

 

  • Our first conversation

    Our talent acquisition team will give you a call to get to know you, explain the job in more detail and answer any questions you have about the company and your role.

  • The interview 

    Interviews can be done remotely (video conference) or in person. You’ll meet your future manager and someone from talent acquisition. We’ll discuss your experience, skills and ambitions, along with the job, team dynamics and what we each have to offer.

  • The tests  

    There may be one or more tests to take depending on the job in question. We use these tests to see if the job you’re applying for is a good match for your personality, competencies, skills, and career goals. This step is how we ensure the process is fair.

  • Background checks

    As a financial services company, we perform routine background checks. With your consent, we check credit history, criminal record, education, and professional affiliations.

  • The secret is knowing what you bring to the table

    To prepare for your interview, list your strengths, skills and areas you want to improve. Be ready to provide concrete examples. Prepare a general idea of your desired career path, along with what motivates you and how you stand out.

    Our recruiting process is also designed to ensure that our values match yours, that you’ll thrive in our company and that our culture resonates with you!

Step 3

Do we go further?

At this point, it’s all about keeping each other in the loop.

 

  • The selection 

    You’ve been selected! Our talent acquisition people will be in touch to give you the good news and make an offer. Go ahead and ask any unanswered questions about your new workplace and conditions.  

    You were not selected. We also follow up with candidates whose application isn’t selected.

  • Before you start

    Our talent acquisition people will take you through the steps to prep for your first day, and tell you what time you’ll be officially greeted and welcomed aboard.

    To finalize the hiring process, you will need to enter some personal information in Workday, our secure recruitment platform. This is the only time when we will ask you for such information.

  • Your first day

    To welcome you, our HR team will be on hand to break the ice and introduce you to your new workplace. Your manager and co-workers will take it from there to help get you started.

Create a job alert

  • Sign in to your account or create one.
  • Select Job alerts, then Create a job alert.

Submit an unsolicited application

In the search bar, type the field you are interested in (A career in...). For example, entering ‘a career in claims’ will show all relevant positions in that field. Apply for the position that best matches your area of interest. Our talent acquisition team will then have your resumé on file for future job openings that match your profile.

All official job offers are found on the Beneva Jobs page. Go there to confirm that the position you want is available.

Protecting your personal information is our priority. We only ask for it after you accept a position.

You will enter this information directly in Workday, our secure recruitment platform. It will be used to prepare your pay and complete your employee profile.

You will never be asked to enter your personal information anywhere other than Workday.

When in doubt, go to our Reporting Fraud page and fill out the form. In the event of fraud and if your personal information has been compromised, you can also report it to the Canada Anti-Fraud Centre and the local police department.
