You’ve probably noticed that La Capitale is transitioning to Beneva. A new name, but the same caring approach based on mutualist values that reflects who we are: People protecting people.

Rest assured, you don’t need to take any action! Your current contract won’t change, you’ll continue to benefit from the same coverage, and our people are still there for you.

Beneva has over 5,000 people who are ready to look after you and ensure you have a customer experience that is personalized, friendly, attentive and, above all, caring.

Answers to your questions

You don’t need to take any action, you’re still covered. There is no impact on your current products and services, all La Capitale contracts will be honoured.

Yes, you continue communicating with us in the same way as before. By telephone or email, we’re always available to answer your questions and provide guidance.

Combining the two companies requires a lot of work before we are fully integrated. To continue providing unparallelled customer service, we are migrating one company at a time. We are planning for SSQ Insurance to become Beneva a little later.

The full transition to Beneva will take some time. The visual references to La Capitale will gradually disappear. Rest assured that your products and services, even if they transition to the Beneva name, are the same.

By uniting La Capitale and SSQ Insurance, Beneva will become the largest insurance company in Canada with mutualist roots. Our website and the Client Centre have a beautiful new design. You benefit from streamlined content and easier, more intuitive navigating that allows you to rapidly find what you are looking for. Logging in to the Client Centre is as fast and easy as it was before, and you have access to the usual features.

The La Capitale mobile app is now the Beneva mobile app, and you can use it with the same login information. It’s also fast and easy to use!

Property and Casualty Insurance

All current contracts remain fully valid. No changes have been made to your policies.

No, because the same teams are there to ensure you get the same quality of service.

No. The two companies’ insurance operations remain separate for now. The union starts by developing a common brand identity. This will be followed by the integration of our products and systems to allow our agents to be properly equipped to process all insurance files.

Yes. You continue as before, using the 15-figure reference number for La Capitale General Insurance. La Capitale Civil Service Insurer remains the payee in your account for your insurance contract.

Our Claims department continues to operate in the same exact manner. And if you have a pending claim, it has the same claim number, and the people who guide you will remain the same as well. As usual, you can also communicate with our claims adjusters at 1-800-461-0770.

Group Insurance

No. Your group insurance plan remains the same. No action on your part is required.

No. The manner in which you submit your claims remains the same.

The hard copy of the card that you currently have remains valid, and you won’t receive a new one. Only the visual aspect of the electronic version of your card that you access in the Client Centre or with the mobile app have changed. Your group and identification numbers remain the same.

Life and health insurance

No. La Capitale is still your insurer. No special action is required of you. Contracts are maintained, and the products and services you hold remain the same. The team that services you remains the same as well!

Yes, you continue communicating with us in the same way as before. We’re still there to answer your questions.

You don’t need to take any action. A La Capitale product remains a La Capitale product. An SSQ Insurance product remains an SSQ Insurance product.

No changes. Everything remains the same as before, including for payments.

Savings and Investments

You don’t need to take any action, La Capitale is maintaining the various products and services that you have. The terms and conditions of your investments, detailed on the investment certificates that La Capitale sent you by mail, remain the same. If you have other questions on your investments, please contact your financial security advisor.

You do everything the same way as before. The procedure for modifying your contract remains the same and your financial security advisor will continue to guide you. The same teams will remain in place.
