René Hamel
Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors
René Hamel is Chairman of the Board of SSQ, Mutual Management Corporation. He began his career as an actuary working in various areas of insurance and financial services.
He was Chief Executive Officer of SSQ Insurance from 2008 to 2015. René holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences from Université Laval and certificates in financial services and business management.
He is actively involved in a number of social causes.
